We hope you’ve had a good Southern Hemisphere summer break or have managed to thaw out of your Northern Hemisphere winter chill. Was great to see so many of you at the Woodford Folk Festival in Australia over the new year. What a festival! Also a huge congratulations to the cast and crew of ‘The Wider Earth’ for their sellout season as part of the Sydney Festival at the Sydney Opera House in January. Lior is proud to have co-written the musical score for this beautiful work which continues to rack up success and critical acclaim.
Lior is currently working on his fifth studio album which is set for release later this year. There will be several shows later in the year to accompany the new album, both in Australia and in Europe. Until then however there are a few shows we are very excited about.
In March, Lior will be heading over to the Adelaide Festival to premiere an adaptation of his collaboration with Nigel Westlake – “Compassion”. The concert will be of a version of the work which Nigel has adapted for an 8 piece ensemble. Lior will be performing this at the Adelaide Town Hall together with the Tinalley string quartet and a collection of fine musicians. Whilst in Adelaide he will also be performing a solo show at The Palais in Elder Park.
Also in March, Lior continues to present his collaboration with Paul Grabowsky, this time at the Canberra Street Theatre and the Blue Mountains Folk Festival. Later in the year, Lior will be performing the full scale orchestral version of ‘Compassion’ with the Monash Orchestra in Melbourne.
All show and ticketing details can be found in the ‘TOURING’ section of the website.
